Choosing healthy food is not always easy. Mainly because shopping for and preparing it takes a lot of time, and even then it's not always as we would like. Nowadays, appearance is often more important than nutritional value.
Nutritionists agree that when you notice your body is working more slowly (you first notice this because you are not regularly having bowel movements), try to eat 250 fewer calories daily than usual, eat more fruit, more vegetables, and more lean proteins. You also don’t need to overdo it with physical activity. Moderate physical activity is much healthier than keeping up the same intensity as when your body was in full shape.
A slower biorhythm also means you should avoid hot dogs, sausages, bacon, and all other cured meats. Do you know why? Because of large—really large—amounts of salt! In addition, these foods are fatty, processed, and almost completely without nutritional value. Apart from unnecessary calories (unneeded energy value, which just makes you gain weight and does not help a more vital body).
Protein bars and chocolates are full of sugar and other industrial ingredients. Often these are soy proteins in powder form that have been treated with pesticides. Be careful with street popcorn as well (this is fast food you buy on the street), because most of this food is made in old, overused oil. You should eliminate such snacks from your diet even without these warnings.
And one more warning … When women enter menopause, sugar metabolism almost completely stops. The same goes for carbohydrates, which you should limit.
In any case, eliminate red meat from your diet.
