7 alkaline foods, for every day of the week
Cancer diseases only develop in an acidic body, which is why we should eat more alkaline foods. This time, we present seven of the strongest.

The most important thing, if you want to control the pH index of your body, is that you don't have to eat only alkaline food to get rid of acidity. In addition, the food that tastes acidic in your mouth often has no such effect on the body once it reaches the digestive tract. A good example is lemons, which are considered distinctly alkaline. Furthermore, too much alkaline food triggers automatic processes in the body that try to reach a neutral state.

Precisely for this reason, it's important to eat balanced meals, using alkaline supplements as a help if you’ve previously indulged and to help your body reach balance more quickly.

The basic goal is to eat 75 to 80 percent alkaline food and only 20 percent food that acts acidic. Swap coffee for green tea, pasta for wild rice, millet porridge, or quinoa. Replace juices, even if natural, with regular water, or even better, lemonade. Try to completely avoid sweet foods. Sweeten only with honey or maple syrup.

And another thing: alkaline foods are, to a large extent, also organically produced foods.

1. Broccoli Broccoli has a very positive effect on our health, is highly alkaline, and should be eaten 3 to 4 times a week. It has a lot of vitamin C (in 100 grams, as much as 135% of the daily requirement) as well as vitamin A and calcium.

2. Basil Although we use it as a spice, it has a very strong effect on the pH of the entire dish, so add it to your meals as often and in as large amounts as possible, or even better, to your drinks. If you manage to eat 100 grams of basil per day, you’ll get 175% of your daily need for vitamin A and 345% for vitamin K. Drink lemonade with basil.

3. Avocado Avocado is also on the list of the most alkaline foods and contains a lot of healthy fats. Since avocado is quite expensive here and its taste unfamiliar, you can use avocado oil, which is also healthy; a spoonful on an empty stomach cleanses the body and surprisingly effectively reduces acidity.

4. Asparagus Asparagus contains many antioxidants, detoxes the body, and slows aging processes. Asparagus also belongs to the category of big stars in the fight against acidity.

5. Arugula Among green leafy vegetables, arugula is definitely special. It is strongly alkaline, contains a lot of healthy plant proteins, thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B6, zinc (very important for maintaining the immune system), copper, raises good cholesterol and reduces bad cholesterol ... Arugula lowers blood pressure, improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and improves vascular function.

6. Artichokes Of all vegetables, artichokes have the most antioxidants, which are the key building blocks for the immune system that fights the harmful effects of free radicals. Many studies have found that an increased number of free radicals is exactly what causes many diseases, including cancer and heart diseases.

7. Almonds Did you know that most nuts and seeds become acidic when they sprout? However, there are some nuts that remain neutral or even slightly alkaline, and these are almonds. In 100 grams you’ll find as much as 44% of your daily protein needs and 25% of your iron and calcium needs.
