When you are hungry, do not start your meal with fruit or spicy foods. Both irritate the stomach, and the acid produced can cause pain and cramps.
It is highly recommended to start your meal with a glass of milk or yogurt, or you can take a few sips of warm water. It is also advisable to eat a few walnut kernels or a piece of cheese.
1. Apples and pears
When hungry, do not try to satisfy your hunger with apples or pears, because you will only end up feeling even hungrier. Do not eat fruit when you are hungry, except in the morning on an empty stomach, when you can eat as much as you want for the whole day.
2. Snacks
If you are as hungry as a wolf, no snack will satisfy you, and you will end up eating huge amounts of unnecessary calories. If the snacks are also salty, and you drink sweet fruit juice or (even worse) sweet carbonated drinks, then do not be surprised by extra weight, as this combination also irritates the lining of the stomach and intestines.
3. Coffee
Coffee, similar to fruit, causes acidity in the stomach and creates conditions for stomach ulcers. It is not good to drink coffee on an empty stomach either. To at least somewhat lessen the harm that coffee can do, first take a sip or two of warm water.
