Every year, 10 million people die from cancer, with 4.5 million dying from symptoms that could have been prevented. The most common causes are smoking (even indirectly) and alcohol, and there is also a rising trend in cancers caused by obesity (4.25% in men and 5.2% in women).
While it may seem easy to avoid dangerous situations, the reality is far from it. Alcoholism takes 18 years to be cured (!!!), and smoking (even passively!) takes 20 years (!!!). In other words, only after 18 years of not drinking any alcohol can you be sure that alcohol is not harmful to you.
Finally, one more piece of information ... Because of habits that people find hard to give up, the financial aspect of treatment is also important, and it should be recognized primarily by decision makers (politicians and professionals). Namely: investing 100 million euros in preventive nutrition saves 100 billion euros in treatment costs.
