Dr. Ajay Goel from Baylor University in the USA treats headaches with turmeric, as he believes that many headaches are caused by brain inflammations, which are best treated with turmeric. Turmeric also stimulates neurogenesis, the desire for pleasure.
Turmeric can also protect us from seasonal illnesses (colds, flu, all kinds of inflammations), so we offer you a simple and tasty recipe for turmeric lemonade with an added vitamin C boost.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 liter of boiled cold water
- 2 tablespoons of turmeric
- 4 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
- juice of 1 lemon
- juice of 1 orange
Mix all the ingredients and drink slowly, in sips. If using honey, stir until it completely dissolves. You can use kiwi instead of orange, which is also rich in vitamin C, and mineral water instead of boiled water. Of course, if you don't mind the bubbles (which can irritate the throat), you will get an interesting and modern drink.
