Mediterranean food is one of the healthiest in the world, and a smoothie with banana and Swiss chard is extremely nutritious and delicious ...

We are used to eating Swiss chard with potatoes and fish, but it is very important that it is available at any time of the year. It has very few calories (there are only 20 calories in 100 grams), but a lot of nutrients. It is rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6, folic acid, vitamin C and beta-carotene (which is converted into vitamin A in the body). Iron and folic acid prevent and treat anemia. It is similar to spinach, and in some respects it even surpasses it. It very effectively treats inflammation of the bladder, acts against constipation, helps with water drainage and has a calming effect.

But chard has one dark thing that we have to pay attention to: Nitrite harmful to health can develop in heated chard. That's why Swiss chard should never be heated!

This is exactly why we are offering you a healthy substitute for a low-calorie dinner, which (thanks to the banana) will also ensure a restful sleep.

Ingredients:
  • 2 bananas
  • a bunch of raw Swiss chard
  • 2 dcl of water
  • if desired, you can also add 1 tablespoon of coconut flour
Preparation:

Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix well. At the beginning, add only 1 dcl of water, and add the rest if the mixture seems too thick. Drink slowly, in sips. Due to the active substances, do not prepare the drink for stock. Remember that the nutritional value of this smoothie decreases by 1 percent every minute.

What's more... Chard becomes even more nutritious when combined with vitamin C. You can also add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the smoothie.
