Food prices have increased by 30% in the last 10 years. Is it even possible to eat healthy and affordably? It's difficult ...

Fresh vegetables are becoming more expensive, which is turning into a significant global issue. Even more so because processed foods, on the other hand, are getting cheaper, making it seem like healthy and affordable food are incompatible concepts. But are they really?

Unfortunately, fresh food is becoming increasingly out of reach for many people. However, with a few simple tricks, you can still save a lot of money.

Start by not buying food in bulk. This means two things. First, go to the store every day and buy only what you need. Second, avoid buying packaged foods and foods in bags. If you only eat one large potato, don't buy 10 of them. If you squeeze two oranges for breakfast, don't buy the whole bag, no matter how tempting the price may be. Keep in mind that 30% of food gets thrown away. And also, food sold in bulk, without packaging, is generally cheaper.

It’s also good to know that prepared food is cheaper. However, if you buy such food in a store, you risk consuming many unnecessary and even harmful ingredients. If possible, cook dishes that you can eat for several days. Stews, risottos, vegetable soups, cabbage, beans, and other similar dishes can be safely eaten over multiple days.

For families, there's one more important tip: if possible, eat together and eat the same things. If each family member eats differently, it will end up costing you a lot more.
