Every now and then we also need to cleanse the body from the inside. This can be done in a relatively simple way with selected organically grown food.
1. Cabbage
Cabbage is excellent for cleansing the liver and intestines, and it also cleanses the army of intestinal enzymes. Include cabbage, kale, cauliflower, and broccoli in your daily diet, and at least one day a week, try to live only on cabbage. This will greatly improve your digestion. And don't forget: raw cabbage is healthier than cooked.
2. Apples
Apples are an excellent source of pectin and fiber, which also positively affect the functioning of the intestines. With apples, you should only be careful if you are not sure they are organically grown—better to peel them. It's true that the most vitamins are in and under the peel, but the wax used in shops to prolong shelf life can be very harmful.
3. Lettuce
Lettuce contains a lot of water, but also many minerals, vitamins, and organic acids that help improve digestion. In addition, lettuce speeds up metabolism and prevents the accumulation of salts. If possible, have a meal made only of lettuce several times a week (salad dinners are especially beneficial).
4. Beetroot
Beetroot regenerates the liver and kidneys, and soothes the bladder. It is rich in pectin, vitamins, and minerals. It helps the body metabolize vitamin B. If you are constipated, or feel that fluids are being retained in your body, eat as much beetroot as possible. Beet soup and beet smoothies are also good... You can enjoy beetroot cooked or raw, grated together with carrot and apple.
5. Carrot
Carrot is an excellent source of vitamin A and pectin, which reduces carbohydrate metabolism. By regularly drinking carrot juice (which can be combined with other vegetables or fruits), you will improve the function of your liver and kidneys.
6. Dried plums
Dried plums are the most beneficial among dried fruits. They contain a lot of fiber, which cleanses the body as a whole, regulates digestion, and also protects against inflammation, bloating, and heartburn. It is recommended to eat dried plums even in summer.
