Hollywood stars (and also starlets) have practically adopted it. In the months leading up to summer, it’s the biggest weight loss hit. But is forskolin really a person’s best summer friend?
In reality, forskolin is Indian coleus, which is extremely rich in medicinal substances. It grows exclusively in subtropical zones with warm and calm climates (Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Burma). Recipes for using Indian coleus are several thousand years old and it is a common ingredient in Ayurvedic folk medicine. In appearance, it is very similar to the domestic nettle, but it has some special properties. Our local nettles also have cleansing effects, but they are not as active in burning fat. Forskolin stimulates and activates processes that inhibit the formation of fat in the body. In addition, it strengthens the immune system, speeds up digestion, strengthens hair and nails, improves the appearance of the skin, purifies the blood, heals the urinary tract, strengthens the prostate, regulates insulin production... The strongest property of forskolin is that it prevents the formation of adipose tissue at the level of fat cells. Forskolin tablets have been proven effective in treating obesity.
It's all thanks to the enzyme cAMP, which affects the degree of fat tissue formation in metabolic processes. At least two studies (conducted in Bristow and Ginsburg) have shown that regular intake of forskolin increases the level of cAMP by 6 times, which means the body burns up to 600% more fat during the day than usual.

In all weight-loss studies, it’s very important that a placebo group is also included, and in both studies it was found that results for the forskolin group were nine times better. But that is not all...
Indian coleus should not be judged solely by its success in weight loss; we must not overlook that forskolin also reduces the formation of tumors, has an exceptional antidepressant effect, reduces symptoms of asthma and allergic problems, it's very important for the regulation of blood circulation, and it also reduces inflammatory processes.
Finally, an important warning: many see forskolin simply as a weight-loss product. They are so convinced of its effect that they promise you will lose 10 kilograms in a very short time—or they'll give you your money back.
Mistake!
It’s a shame to judge Indian coleus only by its association with weight loss, even though that is also an important aspect. Equally important are the other things that help us achieve stronger health. If it comes with fewer kilograms, so much the better. That’s exactly why nutritionists recommend that for health, one capsule a day is needed, and for a slimmer figure, two. You decide what matters more to you, but in any case, choose verified products with the highest quality.
