Watermelons are a well-known diuretic, and lately we are discovering many other benefits of them. If we add a stem or two of celery, which has similar properties, we get a surprising cleansing drink.
Ingredients:- 1/4 watermelon
- 1 pear
- 1 grapefruit
- 2 stalks of celery
- 2 tablespoons of honey
Preparation: Peel the watermelon and cut it into smaller pieces. It's okay if there's also some white rind flesh, as it will add some acidity to the drink. Cut the celery into smaller pieces as well, remove the pits from the pears, and slightly heat the honey to make it easier to add to the drink. Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix just enough to get a liquid mixture.
Before serving, you can add some crushed mint and chopped parsley.
