Datum: 2. AUG 25 - GOOD TO KNOW
Do you really think you know well about food and drinks that affect hydration?
In hot summer days, it is crucial how to hydrate the body. Be careful not to do more harm with cold drinks.
The body is fastest and most effectively cooled and hydrated with liquid at room temperature. Too cold beverages hinder water absorption, also causing fat coagulation, making it harder to get rid of subcutaneous fat layers.

Icy drinks also increase the risk of colds and other gastrointestinal issues. The last thing you want during vacation is a bowel cold.

The best way to cool and hydrate the body is by drinking hot tea because it stimulates sweating processes, which is the only way to truly cool down. People in the Middle East have been practicing this for centuries, along with wearing loose clothing that does not absorb sweat.

It might sound strange, but the best way to quench thirst is undoubtedly with fruits and vegetables. Watermelons are at the top of the list, containing over 90% water, along with various minerals and vitamins. Watermelons regulate blood sugar, pressure, and have an extremely positive impact on our health.

Cucumbers come next with plenty of water, low calories, ample vitamins, mainly A and C. Folic acid is also essential. Cucumbers efficiently reduce appetite.

Pomegranates are a great source of vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants. The juice is crucial for maintaining skin elasticity. Pomegranates protect the skin from UV rays.

Avocado is another good choice for summer, containing healthy fats but not water. Even though it is not known for increasing hydration, its fiber helps retain water in the body.

And let's not forget to mention mango. It is rich in vitamin A and has a significant impact, especially on sensitive skin, eliminating acne and purifying the skin. Though fresh ripe mangoes are hard to find in our areas, you can also benefit from its effects in juice form. Just ensure it's natural and free from added sugars.
