Bananas are healthy. All nutritionists around the world agree on this. However, the latest research reveals even more. Bananas contain, in fact, 25 percent sugar, which classifies them among foods that cause moderate acidity. This is the main reason why it’s not good to start the day with bananas.
Research shows that it’s much better to start your day with foods that burn fat and also give your body enough energy so that you won’t feel hungry and tired after a few hours.
Put differently: if you eat a banana or two for breakfast, this is not good. However, if you also eat some healthy fats and some minerals and vitamins along with it, you can neutralize the acids from bananas and so increase the absorption of minerals from bananas, like potassium, fiber, and magnesium. It is very important to neutralize the sugar and prevent an energy tsunami in your body, which often has negative consequences (elevated blood sugar, cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.).
Nutritionists therefore recommend that it’s best to combine bananas with avocado and spices. Avocado contains a lot of healthy fats, especially omega-3 fatty acids, while spices are rich in minerals that are welcome in every body. In addition to cinnamon, bananas also go well with cocoa, coconut flakes, vanilla, honey, agave, and maple syrup (without added sugar).
Finally, a warning: never drink store-bought orange juice for breakfast because it has too much sugar and other additives. Also, don’t eat bakery goods and doughnuts, because they retain water in the body, are hard to digest, and are very poor in nutritional elements. Finally, remember that it’s also not good to eat fatty and heavy foods for breakfast, because doing so does nothing to help you have a slimmer figure, even if you are very active during the day.
