Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so it's important to follow a few simple rules that boost digestion and increase the absorption of nutrients. This way, your body will get energy and start burning fat reserves.
1. Eat at least 8 grams of fiber
For breakfast, eat foods that digest slowly, are rich in minerals and fiber, and will keep you full throughout the day. This includes all green vegetables, fruit, eggs, dairy products, as well as cabbage and beans.
2. Eat a lot of protein and less sugar
Sugar only gives you a quick burst of energy. In half an hour, you'll be hungry again as if you hadn't eaten at all. Additionally, sweet foods are high in calories and prevent your body from absorbing nutrients properly.
3. Don't wait
When you get up, it's best to start eating 15 to 20 minutes later. If you postpone breakfast for more than an hour, hunger will follow you the whole day.
4. At least 1/5 of your calories
Breakfast should contain at least 1/5 of your recommended daily calories, but not less than 350. Make sure your morning calories are carefully thought out.
5. Don't skip meals
Skipping meals is never a good idea. Your body needs time to process all the food, so it's important to distribute calories as evenly as possible throughout the day. By the afternoon, you should have used up 2/3 of your calories.
