1. You eat while watching TV
Did you know that you eat 44% more while watching TV than you would at the table? Moreover, 80% cannot resist the temptation to bring snacks to the couch. That’s why one of the best weight loss tips is to watch less TV.
2. Dinner by candlelight
Restaurants don’t have candles and dim lighting for no reason. Dinner by candlelight lasts longer, and you’ll eat 50% more calories than you would in the daylight at lunchtime.
3. You don’t eat enough energy (calories)
It’s very important not to skip meals. By lunch, you should eat 2/3 of your daily energy (calories), and in the afternoon and evening the remaining third. Also, try to stick to the rule of not eating after 8 p.m.
4. You eat more than you think
If you feel you can’t stick to a diet, it’s better to intentionally break it. It’s better to eat 10% more calories than to feel hungry. Because of hunger, you’ll eat much more than the mentioned 10%.
5. Drinks are harmful
Avoid alcohol, sweet and carbonated drinks. Don’t fall for ads that claim a certain drink has zero calories, as it may contain many other harmful substances (aspartame, for example, stimulates insulin production in the blood).
6. Are you constipated?
If you want to lose weight, you need good digestion. Only then will toxins leave your body. Drink a lot and eat plenty of fiber-rich foods, probiotics, and plant seeds. Reduce your intake of white bread, milk, cheese, and fast food.
7. Realistic goals are important
Don’t set goals that are impossible to achieve, and don’t believe in diets that claim you can lose 5 kilos overnight. Even losing 3 kilos a week is an exceptional success. Remember, you’ll have to sacrifice 7500 calories for every kilogram of lost weight.
8. Sluggish liver
Your liver helps burn fat, so drink plenty of water. Eat fewer carbohydrates, and have as much protein as possible for breakfast. Instead of a sandwich for lunch, try soup and salad. Eat plenty of cauliflower and broccoli.
9. Make sure you’re neither hungry nor thirsty
You can overcome hunger with just a bite or two, but thirst is felt much less strongly. Never ignore thirst.
10. Don’t overdo it with physical activity
The more you exercise, the hungrier you’ll be and the more energy you’ll need. Instead of intense workouts, opt for a relaxing walk to clear your mind as well. Stress is also one of the major obstacles to weight loss.
