It’s true that we often have dry skin in winter and the cause for this is central heating. However, behind this symptom there is another deficiency, which is much more important and, because of winter, we often overlook it.
Do you know what it is?
We also get dry skin when our body is lacking calcium!
To make the problem even worse, because of winter, we treat dry skin with creams full of alcoholic additives and fragrances, which cause eczema and often worsen the condition. The fact that we are not treating dry skin in the right way is signaled by itching.
If your dry skin itches after applying cream, then almost certainly the reason is a lack of calcium, and you can forget about the creams.
And where do you find the most calcium?
The best sources are milk and dairy products, vegetables, and cereals. Parmesan is at the very top (100 grams contain 138% of daily calcium needs), followed by sardines (100 grams have 47% of daily needs), almonds (32% of daily needs), and soy (24% of daily needs).
