Quick test – how to check the health of your internal organs
If you’re interested in the health of your lungs, kidneys, intestines, hormones, or metabolism, all you need for this test is a spoon, a bag, a strong light source, and 60 seconds of your time.

There is a simple way to find out what condition your internal organs are in. The health of your respiratory system, intestines, kidneys, teeth (including bad breath), the stability of your hormones, and more is most quickly and easily indicated by your throat. Of course, this test is only approximate, but it’s accurate enough to help you know whether it’s time to visit a doctor.

For this test, you need a metal spoon, a clear plastic bag, and a strong light source. The stronger the light, the better the results. How does the test work?

Turn the spoon facing down, and use it to scrape the coating from the back of your tongue a few times. Try to get as close to your throat as possible.

Next, place the spoon in a plastic bag and wrap it up well. Place the spoon under the light for 60 seconds. A strong light will help bacteria multiply more quickly and become more visible.

And what will you see after one minute?

Remove the spoon from the bag and pay attention to two things: the traces left on the spoon, and the smell. In a healthy person, there are no traces, the spoon remains clean and odorless.

If you smell ammonia, this may indicate kidney problems or possibly diabetes. If it has a fruity smell, this could signal issues with metabolism or ketoacidosis (diabetic ketoacidosis is a precursor of diabetes).

An unpleasant odor also points to dental problems, inflamed gums, and bad breath. It’s important to remember that an unpleasant odor doesn’t always mean disease of internal organs; it could mean that you need to take better care of your oral health.

What about visible traces?

If the sample you collected from your throat turns brown, it’s a sign of problems with your lungs, kidneys, or intestines.

If it remains light in color, it could be hormonal issues or just dental problems.

Pay attention to the amount of sample collected as well. If it increases significantly during the test, be careful in the following days, as it may indicate that your body is fighting off unwanted bacteria. It’s very important to strengthen your immune system with a proper diet (especially lots of vitamin C – you won’t believe it: black pepper contains the highest amount of vitamin C!).

Most of the time, however, you won’t notice a visible difference in the size of the sample, which generally means you should use a stronger bulb and hold the spoon closer to the light source.

Use this test when you’re feeling unwell to help determine right away whether you’re just tired or if you might actually be coming down with something.
