1. Smell
When it seems like even your skin smells of onions, you know that 15 minutes ago you overdid it, you crossed the line of moderation. The solution is to eat onions slowly.

2. Digestion
You might find that onions send you running to the bathroom. No problem! Some flavonoids have a strong laxative effect. This, too, can be a sign that you’ve eaten too much onion.

3. Allergies
Onions can cause allergic reactions in the body, which means you need to stop consuming them immediately. Allergies can manifest as diarrhea, difficulty breathing, itching, hives, nausea ... A 2016 study showed that onions have a very high amount of vitamins C and B, and a lot of potassium, which is essential for the functioning of muscles, kidneys, and nerves. But, of course, if you get too much of this, the effects can be the opposite of what you want.

Today we know that those who reach the upper amount of onion at least twice a month have a 22% lower risk of developing digestive tract cancer and a 37% lower risk of developing stomach cancer.

These percentages may not seem extreme to you, but remember, every food works differently, and the effects of their healing properties add up.
