Some foods harm teeth, but we are not aware of it. The problem is that we consume this food every day and are not even aware of the negative consequences. So, if you want brighter teeth, then at least avoid these foods:
1. Crackers
Crackers are among the biggest culprits for discoloring teeth. They contain a lot of refined carbohydrates, which turn into sugar, making it an ideal food source for bacteria that damage teeth.
2. Balsamic vinegar
Balsamic vinegar, or more common herbal vinegar, is a common addition to various dishes, especially salads. Unfortunately, it contains acids that harm teeth. Try to reduce the consumption of balsamic vinegar, and consider dressing your salad with lemon juice instead.
3. Pickles
Pickles are a popular dish for all sour lovers, but unfortunately, the acid is a real poison for white teeth. If pickles tempt you nevertheless, be sure to brush your teeth after the meal. Also, because the mint flavor reduces appetite.
4. Coffee and tea
Coffee and tea lovers are recognizable by their yellow teeth. Especially dark stains appear on those who drink a cup of coffee on an empty stomach. Unfortunately, there is no remedy for this, as even thorough brushing after drinking a cup does not help much.
5. Ketchup
Tomatoes contain a particularly unusual acid that is hard to recognize. Sometimes it is so mild that we don't even think that this barely noticeable acidity can cause tingling and strong erosion of teeth. Particularly dangerous in this regard can be a tomato salad with balsamic vinegar.
