The food we eat can cause the growth of bacteria that lead to urinary tract infections in our bodies. Fortunately, there is a tasty way to avoid this.
Scientists from Washington University School of Medicine have been studying urinary tract infections and the impact of food for several years. They found that the amount of iron and minerals in the gut affects infections, and most importantly, polyphenols in food are powerful antioxidants that prevent inflammation and inhibit bacterial growth. Therefore, they have created an interesting cocktail that is soothing for digestion.
Ingredients:- fresh blueberries and blueberry juice
- unsweetened cranberry juice
- plain yogurt
- black tea
- dark chocolate
- cereals, nuts, flaxseeds
Preparation: Layer seeds, yogurt, blueberries, sprinkle a teaspoon of green tea, and pour cranberry and blueberry juice into a glass. Repeat the process until the top of the glass. If you think you can mix all the ingredients and make a smoothie, you are mistaken. Making a multi-layered treat will engage your digestion more. Coarse fibers and vitamins will prevent bacterial growth, and you will also lower the acidic pH of urine in this way.
Finally, a warning: carbonated drinks, meat, animal proteins, and sugar cause acidity in the body. Urinary tract infections occur only in an acidic body.
