From refined carbohydrates to processed meat – experts warn which foods are most harmful to your health after forty and accelerate aging.

1. Refined carbohydrates
Refined carbohydrates are digested quickly, creating a rapid spike in glucose in the body. This is followed by a quick drop in energy, making you feel hungry and tired soon after. Overconsumption of carbohydrates causes toxins to build up in the body, and the absorption of nutrients becomes worse. As a result, we eat more and more ... After turning 40, muscle mass starts to decline, and the tissue that helps regulate blood sugar becomes less effective, leading to large fluctuations.

Instead, eat black bread or whole grain bread rather than white, choose brown rice over white rice, or best, avoid these entirely.

2. Dairy fats
Dairy fats are an excellent source of calcium, but saturated fats raise cholesterol levels, increase the risk of heart diseases, cause inflammation, which leads to cellular aging. Some forms of fats found in ice creams and yogurts are also very fattening.

What's the solution? Try eating low-fat or non-fat milk, avoid powdered milk, and in general try to limit the consumption of milk and dairy products as much as possible.

3. Diet soft drinks
Soft drinks are dangerous mainly because of their high sugar content, they erode tooth enamel, the composition causes the body to become acidic, and these drinks contain a lot of phosphorus, which undermines bone tissue. In any case, soft drinks throw off calcium balance, which negatively affects bone structure.

If you can't resist carbonated drinks, try using baking soda instead, or add a little basil or mint to a glass of water...

4. Instant soups
The problem with packet soups is the large amount of sodium, phosphorus, and salt... This causes a depletion of calcium from the bones, increasing the risk of osteoporosis. This is followed by high blood pressure, heart problems... Sodium causes tiredness, emotional tension, puffy eyes, dry skin, and accelerates the aging process.

How to avoid instant soups? It's simple! Homemade soup is incomparably better, healthier, with healthy spices, and no salt...

5. Margarine
Margarine made from plant fats is naturally liquid at room temperature, unless it contains a lot of added chemicals. The problematic components are trans fats, which trigger inflammation, heart diseases, accelerate aging processes, and even contribute to the development of cancer. You might not know this, but beer belly is not caused by beer, but by margarine.

How to avoid it? Use coconut butter instead, and you will be protected from several troubles that come with aging.

6. Processed meat
Processed meat includes all sausages, bacons, turkey bacons... They contain a lot of sodium, clog the arteries, and may have high amounts of trans fats. Smoked meat can contain nitrates, which dry out the skin and emphasize visible signs of aging.

How to avoid processed meat without becoming vegetarian? Rather eat more chicken, turkey, tuna, salmon... Eat fresh.
