A smoothie made from blueberries, banana, cinnamon, and coconut milk is rich in antioxidants and fiber—but note: in terms of nutritional value, it cannot compete with industrial energy drinks.
This drink is full of vitamins, minerals, and especially antioxidants. It strengthens the immune system, lowers blood sugar, regulates digestion, and most importantly, improves circulation, warms the body, and increases the amount of oxygen in the blood. That’s why the drink works in a similar way to industrial energy drinks, even though, due to its nutrients, it cannot be compared to them by any real criteria.
This drink should be consumed by both young and elderly people.
Ingredients:- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Preparation: If you have fresh blueberries, put them in the fridge for about an hour. This will increase their nutritional power. Research shows that the body absorbs up to 30 percent more vitamins and minerals from chilled blueberries.
Put all the ingredients except the coconut milk into a blender and try to blend as little as possible so the drink remains cold, yet still fluid and homogeneous. Add the milk at the very end.
Drink slowly and take small sips. The best time to enjoy the drink is about half an hour after lunch.
