Known as avocado crazy, this creamy four-ingredient avocado, cream and honey dessert is one of the simplest and healthiest treats you can prepare at home.
Sri Lanka is famous for its healthy and tasty food. According to unofficial estimations, as many as a third of Sri Lankans eat according to Ayurvedic principles (food is also medicine), and avocado dessert is the most common sweet on their tables. Since avocado is the main ingredient and contains plenty of plant fats and other nutrients, remember this recipe next time you’re thinking about what dish to make from avocado.
Ingredients:- 3 avocados
- 2 dcl cream (or coconut milk)
- 1 tablespoon honey or another sweetener (maple syrup, agave syrup, or, as a last resort, sugar)
- rum for flavor (optional)
Preparation: Mash the avocado with a fork until it’s as smooth as possible. Then add the cream or coconut milk and mix everything well, finally adding a tablespoon of honey and rum to taste. We recommend mixing all the ingredients by hand until you get a smooth mixture.
If you don’t have cream on hand, you can also use plain yogurt.
Place the prepared dessert in the fridge for half an hour, and you can serve it by sprinkling the avocado cream with coconut or decorating it with cream.
