Fast food contains substances that the body needs to digest and eliminate. For this, time is required.

A fast-paced lifestyle does not mean that you have to eat fast food. It is also possible to eat healthily with just vegetables and fruit. In general, it is considered healthy if you eat 70 to 80 percent fruit and vegetables a day. But here and there you can treat yourself to a small portion of fast food; however, it is important to give your body enough time to repair the damage.

There are actually several problems with fast food.

The first is that fast food meals contain mutually incompatible foods.

The second problem is that the foods are often of poor quality and contain many carcinogenic substances.

The third problem is a high amount of carbohydrates and trans fats. Shockingly, fries from fast food contain more fat than carbohydrates, even though we know in their natural form this is not the case. So, the problem is in the preparation, which completely wrecks the natural balance.

And a fourth problem of fast food: all dishes and drinks are overdosed with sugar and salt. It's even worse with products that have less sugar, as that means those meals have even more chemicals and poisons.

Luckily, the human body is adaptable.

Burgers

A typical hamburger contains about 255 calories, a cheeseburger 305. Given the size (just a few bites), that’s a lot. In addition, a single burger contains half the daily recommended amount of salt; they are harmful to the heart, blood vessels, digestive system, urinary tract, and nervous system. The safe amount of burgers is 1 burger every 2 weeks.

French fries

100 grams of fries contains 340 calories and 8 grams of trans fat, which raises blood cholesterol, stimulates tumor formation, increases the risk of diabetes... The safe amount is 250 grams per week.

Pizza

Depending on the toppings, a slice of pizza contains from 200 to 450 calories. A lot of pizza can slow down children's growth and affects the absorption of other nutrients (you won’t do anything beneficial if you eat a healthy meal right after eating pizza, because nutrient absorption is almost zero for at least 4 hours after consumption). Pizza can cause muscle cramps, even cramps of the heart muscle. Because of this, the safe amount is 1 slice (a quarter of a pizza) per week.

There is, however, a note to add regarding pizza. If you put a lot of green vegetables, homemade ketchup, or even chicken meat on the pizza to enrich it with natural proteins, or use quality seafood instead of cheap sausages, then such pizza is no longer so dangerous. In fact, it can be a decent and healthy meal. Just pay attention to the quality of the fats...

This is why homemade pizzas are much better than store-bought ones.
