Too much water? Is that even possible?

Reminders that alert us when we need to drink to avoid dehydration are fine, but if we overdo it, it's not good ...

Too much water can also be harmful. It is true that this limit is quite high, but it is still good to know when not to exceed it ... Studies show that a person should never drink more than 2 to 3 liters of water every 15 minutes.
This limit is so high that it is impossible to overlook it by accident and forget, but problems start much sooner ...
The biggest problem is diabetes, which can cause us to drink up to 8 times more than usual, and most medications only intensify the sensation of dehydration. If you are taking diabetes medication, it is very difficult to control the amount of water consumed (remember, we also get water from food!).
Excessive hydration disrupts the balance of salts and electrolytes.
When this happens, unusual sweating can occur (even if you haven't been physically tired before), muscle cramps are common, a tingling sensation in the stomach... behind these mild symptoms, serious complications can occur over time, and it is enough to drink just 2 liters more water than recommended. Also, let's not forget that water is also present in salad, beer, fruit juice, smoothies...
It is much better to listen to your body than to a phone reminder.
