Why so much mystery surrounding vitamin B17?
Did you know that vitamin B17 or amygdalin is banned in the USA? Some say it's because it undermines the profits of pharmacists, while others say it's dangerous.
The American writer and publicist Edward Griffin spent three years searching for a cure for cancer, and then published all his findings in the book World Without Cancer. Naturally, the book became a global bestseller, and Griffin's key discovery is vitamin B17.

Vitamin B17 is not really a vitamin. Some also call it amygdalin or laetrile. Most of it is found in pits (especially apricot and apple), but a little less in peaches, plums, sour cherries and millet porridge. The problem with vitamin B17 is cyanide, which can even be deadly in large doses.

Griffin devoted an entire book to B17 and developed a pharmaceutical conspiracy story with some very convincing arguments. He explains that B17 is made up of two sugar molecules, one cyanide and one benzaldehyde. However, since healthy cells have the enzyme rhodanese to neutralize the broken down components of B17, they use cyanide for synthesis with vitamin B12, which is important for the regulation of hemoglobin. The excess is excreted in the urine.

In his works, Griffin also describes the life of the Hunza tribe under the Himalayas, where many live to be 120 years or more. Likewise, there are no malignant diseases among the Eskimos, who have never tasted the delights of Western culture. Both eat foods rich in B17.

Motive

What is Griffin's motive for traveling the world to spread awareness about B17?

He primarily promotes his book and lives off paid lectures. And he has no shortage of them. B17 is said to successfully treat even those types of cancer where chemotherapy only achieves a 5% success rate, which is almost as much as winning the lottery - purely by chance.

Of course, we also have to understand the pharmacists, who have been trying for more than half a century to not talk too much about the amygdala, and their biggest argument is that it is toxic and especially dangerous for pregnant women and children. But in reality, they make billions of dollars with cytostatics and chemotherapy drugs.

Is the self-proclaimed cancer healer right, or is this another example of the evil pharmaceutical industry?

Which of these really works?

There is no universal cure. We only know official and alternative medicines. Unfortunately, the world has come so far that the proponents of certain drugs do not even want to hear the opposite side, and we people are even more confused because there is no clear demarcation of whose opinion is still credible in the world of science.

Are all doctors and all researchers really bribed?

It all started in 1952 with the discovery of biochemist Ernst Krebs. He discovered the substance nitrilosyl laetrile, which he named vitamin B12, and immediately believed that he had discovered a cure for cancer. Krebs claimed that cancer occurs because our body begins to lack the aforementioned vitamin, which causes an imbalance in metabolism, reduces immunity, and all of these are favorable conditions for the formation of carcinogenic elements.

In addition, with industrially produced food, man has banished many plant-based vitamins from his daily diet.

There is no scientific evidence that B17 cures cancer, and the effect of chemotherapy has not yet been fully proven. Otherwise, we can soon expect the first chemotherapy drugs with markers that would attack only cancer cells of a certain type, but these drugs are still in the testing phase.

When is it too much?

What is the optimal amount of apricot pits to avoid cyanide poisoning? In the case of prevention, nutritionists recommend eating as many apricot pits as you can eat apricots (5 to 7).

Patients with already spread metastases and developed cancer can eat 3 to 5 bones every hour, but in no case more than 35 per day.

There is even a rough calculation to divide your body weight by 4.5 and you will get the maximum number of bones allowed.

What to choose?

If you are faced with the dilemma of whether to accept chemotherapy or try alternative methods, the answer is probably: both, but in moderation. However, if you are interested in vitamin B17 as a preventive measure, a few seeds will certainly not harm you. The most important thing is that you have a choice.

Just add vitamin B17 to the list of anti-cancer drugs.
