Natural remedies for anemia
Although today we eat a much more diverse diet than in the past, cases of anemia are increasing. Today's food is insipid and empty.
Research shows that fruits and vegetables lose an average of 1% of their nutrients each year. This means that today's food is half as nutritious as it was half a century ago. We need to eat more to get the same amount of nutrients as before, and we know where this leads.
Long-term anemia can cause serious consequences, even irreversible damage to some organs. Therefore, it is very important to react quickly and responsibly, and it is a lifelong process. Dealing with anemia means that you will have to pay attention to the food you eat for your entire life. It's not enough to just have a varied diet, which is an absolute prerequisite, but it is also important to have food that is high in iron, and even more crucial is food that helps the body absorb iron. Eating a lot of spinach won't help if you also eat a lot of gluten, which blocks the intestines so the body can't access the nutrients.
Anemia is much more common in women, especially during pregnancy. In men, anemia often occurs due to more serious causes, such as internal bleeding, ulcers, hernias, hemorrhoids, and gastrointestinal tumors. For both sexes, anemia or poor iron absorption can also occur with celiac disease and Crohn's disease. Anemia is also a result of red blood cell disorders ...

How to recognize anemia?
This is a disease that does not have clear symptoms, but the most reliable way is through regular blood analysis. However, anemia is accompanied by dizziness, rapid and irregular heartbeat, quick fatigue, pale face, brittle nails, hair loss, loss of appetite, headache, nose bleeds, and bleeding gums ...

To avoid problems with anemia, follow these tips:
  • eat at least two handfuls of raw vegetables or fruits high in vitamin C each day - as vitamin C improves iron absorption
  • just a glass of freshly squeezed juice from fruits and green vegetables can help prevent anemia
  • consume at least 2 dl of milk or dairy products rich in calcium every day; however, it is true that you should not mix, for example, yogurt with other foods (especially meat), as it will have the opposite effect
  • avoid caffeine-containing beverages (coffee, tea, especially green tea) - if you can't do without caffeine, then wait at least half an hour after a meal ...
  • as unbelievable as it may sound, food cooked in cast iron cookware is better (not applicable to cookware older than 4 years)
  • smoking is also a cause of anemia
Iron-Rich Foods

The most iron can be found in legumes (beans, peas, lentils, soy) and nuts (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts). It is also abundant in potatoes and whole grains (whole grain bread, pumpkin seeds), as well as in cocoa, eggs, meat, and fish.

However, for the body to truly make the most of the iron we consume, it is advisable to eat plenty of garlic, nettle, honey, dandelion, beetroot, drink rosehip tea and wormwood tea, and it is highly recommended to eat a handful of walnuts every day.
