Are you bothered by a cough? Make your own homemade syrup!
It is becoming more common for us to recover from an illness long ago, but the cough remains. How to get rid of it naturally?
People have an innate and acquired immune system. Find out what happens if you focus your diet solely on strengthening the immune system in the article Can an overactive immune system be harmful. Due to the fact that a diverse and vitamin-rich diet can only strengthen the acquired immune system, there are increasing differences between the systems. When one system has already defeated the illness long ago, while the other system is programmed to heal you after 10 days, you are left with a persistent cough.

How to get rid of a cough?

Pharmacists are familiar with a variety of syrups, some more successful than others, but you can prepare your own homemade cough syrup.

You will need:
  • 250 g of honey
  • 60 ml of extra virgin olive oil
  • juice of 3 lemons
Preparation:

Place all three ingredients in a pot and heat them slowly. Stir occasionally and once you see the syrup starting to evaporate, remove the pot from the stove. Let it cool to room temperature before pouring it into a smaller bottle.

Homemade cough syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

It is recommended that children take a maximum of 3 tablespoons of syrup per day (in the morning on an empty stomach, before lunch, and before bedtime - let that be your last meal). Adults can take less than 2 tablespoons three times a day.

Also, if the syrup hardens too much, you can heat it by placing the bottle in a pot of water on the stove. Be careful only to heat the water, ensuring the bottle doesn't crack.
