Why did the grandmothers carefully preserve garlic oil?
Garlic oil is a simple, healthy, and delicious preparation that unfortunately doesn't happen overnight, but it's worth the effort
Our grandmothers used garlic oil. Most commonly for relieving rheumatic pain, they also treated circulation problems, joints; garlic oil improves circulation. Drop a few drops of garlic oil on the affected area and rub it well into the skin. The pain will disappear the next day, and if you repeat this for a longer period (about two months), you can completely rid yourself of rheumatic diseases.

Garlic oil is also good for blisters and corns. A few drops on a cotton ball pressed on the blister are enough. Hold for 10 minutes and let it dry.

Garlic oil has a very pleasant taste, so it is often used for roasting meat or vegetables. However, be careful. If you have liver, kidney, or pancreatic problems, pay attention to how much oil you consume. Some properties can be harmful. If consumed in small quantities, there will be no issues.

How to prepare garlic oil?

For the base, you need high-quality cold-pressed vegetable oil. We recommend good olive oil, but it can also be rapeseed or sunflower oil. For a liter of oil, you need 400 grams of garlic.

Garlic, peeled and finely chopped, put it in a glass jar. Pour the garlic with oil, mix, and place in a dark place at room temperature, where it should stay for at least 4 weeks. Stir the oil a little every day.

When you use such garlic, you can remove the garlic pieces, but if you like a stronger taste, you can add a little thyme, rosemary, even chili pepper, and other spices from the beginning. Such oil will then be more suitable for cooking than massaging rheumatic joints.

Garlic oil is not only tasty, but it also contains numerous anti-inflammatory and antibacterial substances. It is also rich in magnesium, vitamins C, B1, and B6, contains a lot of selenium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, copper.

If you eat a teaspoon of this mixture on an empty stomach, it prevents cardiovascular diseases and even prevents cancer and metastasis.

And yet the dilemma: what is the difference between garlic oil with roasted or raw garlic?
If you intend to use garlic oil as a remedy for external wounds or rheumatism, then undoubtedly use raw garlic.

If you decide to use it as a seasoning for other dishes, you can also consider roasted garlic. If you roast garlic at a temperature up to 121 degrees Celsius, antioxidants are formed in it that prevent the development of free radicals and thus prevent the development of cancerous diseases. Learn more about the medicinal effects of roasted garlic in the article How to Awaken the Health Volcano with Garlic.

Avoid temperatures above 121 degrees, as acrylamide forms under such conditions, nullifying all the medicinal effects of the entire garlic oil. Acrylamide is highly carcinogenic; you can read more about it in the article Even Babies Eat It, Although It Causes Cancer.
