It's like a spring cleaning...
A lot has been written about the yogurt diet by Ane Luque, who thoroughly describes how to approach spring cleaning in her book. There are many variations circulating on the internet, but they all have the same goal, with different approaches to achieve it. The essential component is probiotic yogurt (choose one brand for maximum success), which contains 400 to 500 different bacteria that have a positive impact on the digestive tract.
The fact is, we get sick when the gut flora is imbalanced, digestion is disturbed, and the intestines become ill. Stress and poor diet disrupt the balance of gut flora, disrupt the balance of antibiotics, and weaken the immune system.
The only solution to calm the body is: 2 liters of yogurt per day!
It may sound extreme, but it's not that drastic. Try to follow the diet recommended by Ana Luque as precisely as possible ...
Day 1
- Breakfast: drink a glass (or two) of low-fat yogurt with your choice of cereals (anything goes, as long as it's sugar-free)
- Lunch: saut{-15447} vegetables in olive oil and mix with rice at the end. Do not add any seasoning to the vegetables, and minimize salt and pepper. For dessert, drink a glass of yogurt.
- Dinner: before bed, saut{-15447} 1 grated carrot in olive oil (you can also add some cubes of ham), put everything in a bowl of green salad, then drizzle with low-fat yogurt.
Day 2
- Breakfast: grate a cucumber and pour yogurt over it (normal fat content is fine). It's important to eat the whole cucumber and drink at least 2 dl (or even 4 dl) of yogurt.
- Lunch: Cut a handful of white turkey meat into cubes (you can use chicken, tuna, or salmon), saut{-15447} in olive oil. Add chopped mushrooms, a tomato, and a pepper. When the vegetables soften, add a glass (or two) of yogurt.
- Dinner: Mix 2 cups of yogurt with a handful (or two) of berries (you can also use frozen blueberries).
Day 3:
- Breakfast: Mix a glass of yogurt with cheese, grated apple, and a teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Lunch: Bake 150 grams of hake, and prepare a salad from yogurt, cucumber, and a little mustard as a side.
- Dinner: Cook 100 grams of pasta, add chopped bell pepper and a boiled egg, then drizzle with yogurt.
Health Impact
There is no solid evidence that you will lose weight with this diet. Likewise, there are no guarantees that such a diet improves digestion. There are no firm assurances about that either. Some may argue that anyone who eats so little would lose weight. Which is true... and you can find other reasons as well. But the fact is, nothing in this menu will harm you, and three days are not too long to give it a try. The benefits you can gain from the yogurt diet are much greater...
