The power of apple cider vinegar is truly fascinating. Used since the time of Hippocrates, over the millennia, a lot of knowledge has accumulated, which we somewhat neglect today. It probably goes without saying that only natural, organically produced vinegar has medicinal effects.
Apple cider vinegar contains a lot of phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and other minerals. It is beneficial both preventively and in the treatment of many diseases. Additionally, there are virtually no side effects!
1. Acid reflux and heartburn
Apple cider vinegar has a similar function to the acid in the stomach: it helps digest food. Many people report that their problems with heartburn and reflux significantly decreased when they started regularly consuming apple cider vinegar. A very effective remedy is to drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of vinegar an hour before bedtime.
2. Destroys fungi in the body (especially candida)
Several studies confirm that the acids and enzymes in apple cider vinegar help eliminate fungi in the body. If you think you have issues with fungi, then drink a teaspoon of vinegar dissolved in a glass of water before each meal, but no more than twice a day. You can also start your day with a glass of water and a teaspoon of vinegar, but then wait at least 20 minutes before eating anything.
3. Lowers blood pressure
If you have high blood pressure, also drink water with vinegar. Various studies confirm that the enzymes in apple cider vinegar inhibit blood vessel constriction. Blood vessels can constrict for various reasons (not just cold weather, but also a lack of various elements that can hinder blood circulation).
4. Cleanses the skin
The only dilemma here is the ratio in which to mix apple cider vinegar with water. Start with a ratio of 1:4 (1 unit of vinegar and 4 units of water). Rinse your skin well with this mixture using a cotton pad. If you are concerned about the lingering smell, you need not worry. Once the vinegar is rinsed off, the smell will disappear. With this cleansing treatment, you will get rid of dry skin, clear acne, and your skin will be tighter and more youthful.
If you feel that the expected effects are not achieved, you can change the initial ratio by increasing the proportion of vinegar and decreasing the proportion of water. In any case, there should never be more vinegar than water. Too much vinegar can have completely opposite effects.
And a few warnings. Always dilute apple cider vinegar, be careful not to come into contact with the skin, especially the eyes.
