Full glass of health - banana and Swiss chard
Mediterranean food is one of the healthiest in the world, and a smoothie with banana and Swiss chard is exceptionally nutritious and delicious.
We are used to eating Swiss chard with potatoes, fish, and it is important that it is available in every season. It is very low in calories (only 20 calories in 100 grams), but rich in nutrients. It is rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6, folic acid, vitamin C, and beta-carotene (which converts to vitamin A in the body). Iron and folic acid prevent and treat anemia. It is similar to spinach, but surpasses it in some properties. It effectively treats bladder inflammation, acts against constipation, helps with water retention, and has a calming effect.

However, Swiss chard has one dark aspect to be aware of: When reheated, harmful nitrites can develop in Swiss chard. Therefore, Swiss chard should never be reheated!

This is why we are offering you a healthy substitute for a low-calorie dinner this time, which will also ensure a peaceful sleep (thanks to the banana).

Ingredients:
  • 2 bananas
  • bunch of raw Swiss chard
  • 2 dl of water
  • optionally, 1 tablespoon of coconut flour
Preparation:

Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix well. Start with only 1 dl of water, add the rest if the mixture seems too thick. Drink slowly, sip by sip. Do not prepare this drink in advance due to active substances. Keep in mind that the nutritional value of this smoothie decreases by 1% every minute.

Also ... Swiss chard becomes even more nutritious in combination with vitamin C. You can add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the smoothie as well.
