Prolonged sitting, reduced physical activity, tight clothing, fatty foods, a lot of sugar ... These are all things that we are more exposed to in winter, and cellulite worsens even more.
Although cellulite can also be a result of genetic factors, hormonal or psychological issues, it can also arise as a result of stress ... But to save yourself from disappointment when you put on your swimsuit again in the spring, start following some simple rules today.
1. Tight Clothing
Poor circulation is particularly important in winter. Do not wear tight clothes, eat foods high in iron, move a lot to fill your body with oxygen ... Tight clothing hinders circulation, so put aside jeans and elastic stockings for a while. We especially recommend eating lots of raw spinach in winter.
2. Watch your diet
Food high in fats is not healthy either. Nor is food with a high caloric content. Avoid eating fatty meats, processed meat products, canned foods, alcohol, sugary carbonated beverages, sweets, and other desserts. If possible, do not indulge more than once a week! Instead, eat fish, fresh cheeses, fruits, vegetables, honey, and low-fat dairy products.
3. Be active
Too much sitting is not only the biggest risk for cellulite formation, but also for a whole host of other diseases. Today, on average, we sit for more than 64 hours a week, which is significantly more than we walk, stand, and even more than we sleep. In winter, we sit one more time than in summer. And we feel colder too ... On cold days, we should be even more active for better health. Ideally, you should be able to take a morning and afternoon walk that lasts at least 20 minutes. Instead of driving to work, walk instead.
