Foods You Shouldn't Eat on an Empty Stomach

Raw Vegetables

Yogurt
If you have a sensitive stomach, it's definitely best to avoid yogurt and all foods made with it. Yogurt contains lactic acid bacteria, some of which can irritate the intestines. Stomach acid can create a real storm in your gut. To reduce the acidic impact, mix some nuts into the yogurt, add a slice of avocado, or a spoonful of oats, but ideally, don't eat yogurt on an empty stomach.

Banana
Bananas quickly raise your blood sugar levels, which then drop just as fast. For some, this can lead to a lingering feeling of hunger throughout the day. Listen to your body.

Citrus Fruits
Yes, even a glass of fresh orange juice is on the list of risky foods. Although citrus fruits are extremely healthy, they can cause uncomfortable heartburn. The only exception that doesn't have this effect is lemon juice diluted with a glass of water.

In general, you can neutralize any potential negative effects in a fairly simple way. Just drink a few sips of lukewarm (or warm) water at least 20 minutes before breakfast, and you won’t have these problems.
