- watermelon
- vanilla extract
- juice of half a lime
- one tablespoon of honey or a healthy syrup (maple, agave)
Remove the seeds from the watermelon, then blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth and well-mixed blend. For better taste, more health benefits, and a more extravagant flavor, add a tablespoon of green tea or finely chopped spinach. Mix everything well again and pour the mixture into ice cream molds or small cups. Freeze the watermelon ice cream for 3 to 4 hours.
If you want the ice cream to have a richer flavor, stir it a little every half hour, as long as you can. When the ice cream starts to solidify, let it set until it has a firmer structure.
Before serving, let the watermelon ice cream sit at room temperature for at least 5 minutes. This way, the ice cream has a more pronounced aroma and better taste, and it's healthier too.
