Garlic Butter for Mediterranean Longevity
Why buy industrial spreads when you can make a delicious and, most importantly, healthy spread at home?
One of the secrets of Mediterranean cuisine is garlic butter, which is relatively easy to make and bursting with health benefits. The fact is, you can use this spread in sandwiches, add it to grilled dishes, even meat dishes, but the healthiest way is to dip a celery stalk in the spread...

Ingredients:
  • 250 grams of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • parsley
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Preparation:
Soften the butter to room temperature and cut it into cubes. Peel the garlic and cut it in half. Put it in boiling water for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, blend the butter, finely chopped onion, parsley, and ground pepper (to taste) in a mixer, then add the cooked and softened garlic. Mix everything well until you get a smooth mixture, and only then add a tablespoon of olive oil to the spread.

Mix everything a bit more, then pour it all into a glass jar and store it in the refrigerator (you can also freeze it if you want to have a fresh and healthy spread throughout the winter). Let the spread rest in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
