Salad can be a meal, but it must meet certain conditions ...
The best, healthiest, and most energy-packed salads are made by Italians. It seems like they have an innate sense for preparing a rich salad. This is especially remarkable because salad is eaten all over the world. The fact is, a few vegetables, oil, vinegar, and spices do not yet make a meal out of a salad.

Which ingredients make a salad a meal?

The story begins with vegetables, which must be as fresh as possible. You will hardly be able to make a tasty meal out of wilted lettuce and rotten tomatoes.

A salad must always, but really always, be enriched with pieces of cheese, perhaps an egg, even canned fish fits, tuna, various nuts, seeds, grains, even pieces of diced dried bread give the salad a richer flavor.

You can prepare the salad in advance. There's no problem with that. Just know that you should dress it just before you eat it, especially when it comes to oil and other spices (salt, pepper, ...).

A salad will become a very filling meal if you combine leafy vegetables that grow above ground with vegetables that grow below ground (carrots, potatoes, even onions ...).

Experiment with fruit. A few slices of orange completely change the taste of a salad. Don’t forget about raisins either.

And the dressing ... If possible, avoid store-bought dressings! Instead, make your own, for instance from yogurt and avocado, or yogurt and mayonnaise. The best dressing is made from yogurt, oil, and a bit of onion.
