Foods to Avoid Eating in the Heat
Summer heat can be hazardous to your health, especially if you eat foods that cause more problems than benefits to your body.
Any nutritionist will tell you that in summer, we should eat light and non-greasy foods with bright colors. Otherwise, you'll feel even hotter, more tired, and lethargic. This means that during summer, you should mainly eat seasonal fruits and vegetables. Nature is our best dietary advisor.

Of course, we must also pay attention to drinks. We need to drink plenty of water and unsweetened teas because only in this way will we cool the body and also reduce the feeling of hunger.

Among the most recommended summer fruits are certainly watermelons. They contain 90% water, but the remaining part is rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Since watermelons are technically vegetables, you can use them as an addition to salads or soups. Try it, and you'll be surprised by the freshness.

Cucumbers are also interesting, acting similarly to watermelons. They contain a lot of water. You can grill them or prepare a tasty and healthy salad.

Tomatoes, onions, and peppers are a winning salad combination in summer. They contain a lot of water, vitamins, and are rich in minerals. Such a salad also strengthens and protects the skin from ultraviolet rays.

Definitely, during the summer months, forget about fried and heavy foods. Instead, choose fish, chicken, or turkey with fresh vegetables. Replace chocolate and pastries with refreshing yogurt topped with fruit. Homemade ice cream is also much better, full of flavor, and healthier than street ice cream, where the risk of salmonella infection is significantly higher in hot days.

For summer diets, there's another rule: avoid white foods.

White foods include white bread, sugar, rice, and similar items. White ice cream is usually worse than those with natural colors (avoid artificially colored ice creams).

What about grains and nuts? They are certainly healthy, but don't eat more than a handful.
