Why did grandmothers carefully preserve garlic oil
Garlic oil is a simple, healthy, and tasty preparation, which unfortunately does not develop overnight, but it is worth the effort.

Garlic oil was already used by our grandmothers. Most often for relieving rheumatic pains, it was also used to treat problems with blood vessels, joints, and garlic oil improves blood circulation. Drop a few drops of garlic oil on the affected area and rub it well into your skin. The pain will disappear by the next day, and if you continue this for a longer period (about two months), you can completely get rid of rheumatic conditions.

Garlic oil is also good against blisters and corns. Just a few drops on some cotton wool, which you press onto the blister. Hold for 10 minutes and let it dry out.

Garlic oil also has a very pleasant taste and is therefore often used for roasting meat or vegetables. But be careful. If you have problems with your liver, kidneys, or pancreas, pay attention to how much oil you consume. Some properties can be harmful. If you consume it in small quantities, there will be no problems.

How do we prepare garlic oil?

For the base, you need quality, cold-pressed vegetable oil. We recommend good olive oil, but it can also be rapeseed or sunflower oil. For one liter of oil, you need 400 grams of garlic.

Peel and finely chop the garlic and put it in a glass jar. Pour oil over the garlic, stir, and place it in a dark place at room temperature, where it should stay for at least 4 weeks. Stir the oil a little every day.

When you use such garlic, you can remove the garlic pieces, but if you like a stronger taste, you can add a little thyme, rosemary, even chili pepper, and other spices from the start. Such oil will then be more suitable for cooking than for massaging rheumatic joints.

Garlic oil not only tastes good, it also contains many anti-inflammatory and antibacterial substances. It is also rich in magnesium, vitamins C, B1, and B6, and contains a lot of selenium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and copper.

If you eat a spoonful of this mixture on an empty stomach, it prevents cardiovascular diseases and even prevents cancer and the spreading of metastases.

And a dilemma: what is the difference between garlic oil with roasted or raw garlic?

If you intend to use garlic oil as a medicine for external wounds or rheumatism, then without a doubt use raw garlic.

But if you decide to use it as a spice for various dishes, you might also consider roasted garlic. If you roast the garlic at up to 121 degrees Celsius, antioxidants are formed in it, which prevent the development of free radicals and thus the development of cancerous conditions.

Avoid temperatures above 121 degrees, because under such conditions acrylamide is formed, which completely cancels out all the healing effects of the entire garlic oil. Acrylamide is highly carcinogenic ...
