Chickpeas are an exceptional food, which is not very common here, so we don’t yet know how to prepare all the wonderful snacks it allows.
Chickpeas are full of vitamins A, E, and C, have lots of magnesium, calcium and potassium, and even more, they are packed with very healthy antioxidants and plant fibers.
100 grams of chickpea stew is very healing and full of essential nutrients. What’s important is that before cooking, you soak the chickpeas overnight in water to which you add a teaspoon (or two) of baking soda. Before cooking, drain them, add vegetables as you like. What’s important is that you only salt the soup at the very end (or even better, don’t salt it at all!).
Chickpea patties are also very good—cook them until soft, mash them, add spices, and form them into patties. Bake them at 200 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
