In the past, cleaning agents were also natural and therefore harmless. Today, instead, we use artificial chemicals, which are becoming increasingly dangerous, poisonous, and even harmful—for nature, certainly. And this is exactly the story of the water in which you cooked beans. Never pour it away!
When you are done cooking beans and have served them on plates, strain the liquid through a cotton cloth and this is an excellent cleaner for glass surfaces (it breaks down fats—just like it happens in our stomachs). For use, soak a cloth in this liquid, and you will achieve an exceptional effect if you add alcohol vinegar to the water.
Let this be a healthy substitute for chemical cleaners. Chemistry, after all, has too strong an influence on our lives.
Perhaps even too much!
