Are you being chased by the flu and a cold, what to do?
Did you know that you can overcome the flu and a cold in 80% of cases if you react quickly and effectively enough?

It is very important to start treating the flu and cold as soon as you feel a slight sore throat. At that moment, your immune system is not yet compromised and only needs stimulation, while you need rest. If you react properly and eat the right foods, you will wake up the next morning feeling like a new person.

The first symptoms of flu and cold are familiar to everyone. For such cases, always have ready-to-eat food rich in zinc, or you can also take tablets or another dietary supplement rich in zinc. Many call zinc the king among minerals, as it is the best at fighting viruses, bacteria, and all types of colds.

Zinc is certainly the most important microelement for your health. It stimulates metabolism, relaxes muscles, regulates enzyme levels in the blood, and speeds up healing. Interestingly, zinc works best in combination with copper, but only if they are in a 1:1 ratio. If both elements are present equally, their power is even 15 times greater than if consumed alone. The highest concentrations of zinc are found in seafood, game, poultry, beef and veal, as well as in wild rice, buckwheat, mushrooms, sesame butter, nuts, oats, and bran...

Let us also mention that a 2010 study showed that nearly half of Slovenians aged 19 to 50 do not ingest enough zinc from food, and among children, this percentage is as high as 89%.

But let’s return to overcoming the flu and cold.

The next important thing on the road to vital health is, of course, vitamin C. It is best, of course, if you eat an orange, grapefruit, kiwi, or pepper, and even lemonade in lukewarm water is beneficial. For vitamin C, remember that it does not like heat, and an adult only needs 1 gram per day. If you decide to recharge your batteries with vitamin C, the best way is to eat a fresh red pepper (yellow and green peppers are not as effective).

And the third rule... Once you’ve eaten zinc and had lemonade, it’s time to sleep. Lack of sleep causes a shortage of proteins in the body, which are needed to fight invaders. Also note that 8 hours is not always enough, as the healthy sleep interval ranges from 6 to 10 hours, and the amount of sleep needed varies for each person. Remember, it is better to sleep an hour longer than an hour too little.

Also remember: if you sleep less than 6 hours a day, you have 4 times the chance of getting sick. Because of this, as soon as you feel a burning sensation in your throat, go to bed so the body can produce as many proteins as possible to fight the infection.
