Datum: 8. SEP 25 - GOOD TO KNOW
When you skip breakfast next time, remember this.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Not because it's good to eat well in the morning and it's least fattening, but because with a hearty breakfast, we get the body going...
1. Fatigue The most obvious thing is that those who don't have breakfast are already tired and sleepy in the morning. Their body is still not running at full capacity, so their metabolism is slowed down, and all other motor and mental processes are also slowed down. If you think you are doing something good for yourself by skipping breakfast, you are seriously mistaken. By noon, you will be hungry as a wolf, you will eat everything you see, and you will have no measure. Studies show that people who skip breakfast eat 40% more food during the day.

2. Hormonal issues If you have irregular eating habits, skipping breakfast one day and having it the next, your body cannot establish hormonal balance. What's more, if you are hungry in the morning, and active on top of that, cortisol levels increase, the feeling of stress and tension increases, and the insulin level in the blood also rises... All of this strains the pancreas, greatly increasing the risk of developing diabetes, and irregular eating habits make you gain weight more than you think.

3. Fat deposits When you are stressed, your body needs large reserves of essential nutrients. If it doesn't get them through food, compensatory mechanisms are triggered to protect fat deposits from being lost too quickly. The body knows that the metabolism would use up all reserves if it could, but it prevents it because it doesn't know how long you plan to starve.

4. Influence on mood and overeating The saying "you're a different person when hungry" is very true. If you come to work hungry in the morning, you will spend all day eyeing your colleagues to see if they have something good to eat. In addition, you will only think about food all the time. In between, you might briefly comfort yourself with coffee or perhaps some tea, but the worst is yet to come: when you finally get food, you enter the phase of overeating, rapid stomach overload, sudden sugar rush, which instantly raises insulin levels in the blood. Overeating is like revving a cold car to the highest RPMs. Sometimes, a part of the machine might break...

5. Breakfast doesn't make you gain weight The calories you consume in the morning are not dangerous because you burn them with movement throughout the day. Experts even recommend that in the first half of the day (the first 8 hours), you should eat two-thirds of your calories, and the remaining third in the afternoon and evening hours. Anything more than a third in the afternoon is something you can be sure will come back to you with new fat deposits.
