Datum: 8. AUG 25 - GOOD TO KNOW
Why is there a day when you could eat everything and more?
Have you ever wondered why some days it's easy for you to go without food, while on other days you experience unstoppable hunger? Read about 7 possible reasons ...
If you are extremely hungry some days, consider whether one of the reasons below could be to blame. This is important so that you address the cause and avoid overeating unnecessarily. Increased appetite is actually one way your body communicates that something is not right.

1. You are dehydrated
The line between thirst and hunger is thin. In more than half of the cases, thirst masquerades as hunger. How do you know if you have drank enough water? Pinch the top of your hand? If your skin doesn't snap back immediately, then it's not elastic enough and you need to drink more water. Try doing this test multiple times to understand your body and skin.

2. You are not sleeping well?
Feelings of lightness usually follow a night of short, restless sleep. Lack of sleep also increases appetite. The body needs more energy. If you think you can solve this problem with an afternoon nap, you are mistaken. The only real solution to stop the appetite attack is to go to bed earlier tonight.

3. You are eating too many carbohydrates
Simple carbohydrates quickly turn into sugar, enter the bloodstream rapidly (which is why diabetic patients have problems, and blood pressure quickly rises) ... Because the body also loses energy quickly, you are constantly hungry. Avoid simple carbohydrates found mostly in white bread, cookies, desserts, sweets ... This also applies to starchy foods (potatoes, rice). Try to eliminate all of this or at least severely limit it from your diet.

4. You are stressed?
Stress can also cause increased appetite. Warm baths, breathing exercises, yoga can help. Engaging in a hobby to distract yourself and forget about daily problems can also be helpful. The problem of stress is significant and important. Did you know that generations born before World War II hardly knew what stress was by the age of 30, but today more than a third of young people have issues with it. It's not just the jobs to blame, even the school system has become extremely demanding.

5. You have more proteins than fats
Greek yogurt, eggs, chicken meat extend the feeling of fullness. The same goes for avocado, nuts, fatty fish. However, this only applies if you have a balanced amount of fats and proteins in your body. You will remain hungry as long as your body lacks one of these substances.

6. Not enough meals
If you don't eat anything all day, it's normal to come home feeling hungry. In this case, hunger indicates that you are not eating properly. It is normal to have a substantial meal every 4 to 5 hours, with a lighter snack or a snack in between. Yes, you calculated correctly: a healthy way of eating means that you eat every 2 hours.

7. You eat too quickly
Because the brain and stomach do not have a direct connection, it takes 20 minutes for the signal from the stomach to reach the brain. If you eat quickly, a lot can happen in this time. For example: you can eat too much and things that don't suit you. Therefore: every meal should last at least 30 minutes. Of course, without the distraction of television, computers, and phones. It is also important to focus on your food, feel it, taste it ... All other disruptive elements only further delay the communication between the brain and stomach.
