The drink of raw red cabbage and oranges strengthens the immune system and contains special types of flavonoids that are known to reduce the chances of cancer by 60 percent. Among the plethora of healthy substances, the most interesting is anthocyanin, which, together with vitamin C, is twice as potent. Plenty of anthocyanin can be found in blueberries, cranberries, raspberries, less in bananas, peas, pears, and potatoes, but red cabbage is the absolute champion. Another name for anthocyanin is E163.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 small head of red cabbage
- juice of 6 oranges
- 4 dl of water
Finely chop the cabbage. Add the orange juice and water, and blend everything together in a blender until you get a smooth homogeneous mixture.
It is important to drink the beverage on an empty stomach. Drink it between meals, at least two hours after a meal and half an hour before the next one.
